Application of Provisions
Article 1.
1. Accommodation contacts and related contacts to be entered into by the HOTEL KENT shall be in accordance with these provisions, and particulars not provided for in these provisions, shall be made in accordance with the laws and customary practices.
2. Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions, the HOTEL KENT may enter into special agreements to the extent that they will not run counter to the spirit of these provisions, the laws and customary practices.
Request for Accommodation Agreements
Article 2.
1. When the person requesting the accommodation agreements should clarify the following particulars to the HOTEL KENT.
(1) Name of the persons occupying the accommodation.
(2) Period of accommodation and arrival time.
(3) Number of the persons occupying the accommodation and room types.
(4) Other particulars deemed necessary by the HOTEL KENT.
2. In case guests request to extend their stay over the period of accommodation in clause 2 of the foregoing paragraph, the HOTEL KENT considers it as new request for accommodation agreements.
Existence of Accommodation Agreements, etc.
Article 3.
1. Accommodation agreements exist when the HOTEL KENT accepts the request for accommodation agreements in the foregoing article. But it does not exist when the HOTEL KENT prove that the HOTEL KENT did not accept the request.
2. When accommodation agreements exist in accordance with the foregoing paragraph, the HOTEL KENT may request the payment of a deposit, limited to the charge of the accommodation for the period of stay (when the period of stay is over 3 days, it shall be for 3 days) within a designated period.
3. First, the deposit in the foregoing paragraph comes the final payment of bills what guests should pay, when it comes within the scope of article 5, it shall be made to cover the breach of agreement charge with any remainder refunded.
Rejection of Accommodation Requests
Article 4.
1. The HOTEL KENT may refuse to provide accommodations under the following circumstances.
(1) When the accommodations requested do not come under these provisions.
(2) When the HOTEL KENT is booked full and no room is available.
(3) When it is feared that the person desiring the accommodation may use the
accommodation in a manner contrary to that provided in the laws or the
maintenance of public peace and good morals.
(4) When the person desiring the accommodation can be clearly detected as being
afflicted with an infections disease.
(5) When requested to bear a special burden, as regards the accommodation.
(6) When the HOTEL KENT is incapable of providing the accommodation due to
inevitable causes, such as natural calamities and damage to its facilities.
(7) When the person desiring accommodation is dead drunken, and he may disturb other guests.
(8) When the guest's speech and action gave other guest's trouble.
Cancellation of Accommodation Agreements
Article 5.
1. When the person making the reservation cancels the whole or a part of the reservation made, the HOTEL KENT shall receive payment for the cancellation as stipulated in the cancellation charge, shown hereunder. However, this provision shall not apply to parties (referring to groups with 15 paying members and more the same hereafter) up to 10% of its number, as of 10 days prior to occupancy, (when the HOTEL KENT has accepted the reservation later than this date, then the date of acceptance shall apply) with fractions counted as whole when such cancellation was made for a portion of group.
2. The HOTEL KENT may consider the reservation for accommodations as having been cancelled by the person making the reservations, when such person does not appear by 8:00 p.m. of the day of occupancy and when he has not contacted the HOTEL KENT. (when the hour of arrival is more or less stated, then it shall be 2 hours after the hour. But the hour of arrival is after 0:00 a.m., then it shall be that time.)
3. When the reservation has been considered as cancelled, in accordance with the
previous paragraph, but if the guest is able to prove that his failure to appear
without contact was due to the delay or non of arrival of the train, airplane or
other public conveyances and not to any cause caused by him, the HOTEL KENT will not
charge the breach of agreement fee.
Article 6.
1. When it comes under cause 3 to 8 of article 4 the HOTEL KENT shall be enabled to cancel the reservation for accommodation, in addition to that provided for elsewhere.
2. When the HOTEL KENT has cancelled the reservation for accommodation, in accordance with the aforementioned paragraph, it shall refund any deposit received for the reservation.
Registration
Article 7.
  Guests are requested to kindly register the following particulars with the HOTEL KENT, at the front ,on the day of their arrival.
(1) The name, age, sex, address and occupation of the person occupying the accommodation.
(2) In the case of foreigner, his passport number, nationality, place of landing and date of landing Japan.
(3) Day and hour of departure.
(4) Other particulars deemed necessary by the HOTEL KENT.
Check-in time
Article 8.
  The hour for staying the room by the guest (check-in time) shall be after 2:00 p.m.
Check-out time
Article 9.
1. The hour for vacating by the guest (check-out time) shall be 11:00 a.m.
2. The previous paragraph notwithstanding, the HOTEL KENT may accede to the use of
the room beyond the check-out time. In such a case, there is an additional charge as
listed here-under.
  Additional Charge
(1) Until 2:00 p.m. 30% of (standard) room charge.
(2) Until 4:00 p.m. 50% of (standard) room charge.
(3) After 4:00 p.m. full room charge.
Payment of Bills
Article 10.
1. 1. Payment of bills shall be made in Japanese currency or credit cards and coupons
recognized by the HOTEL KENT at the front desk of the HOTEL KENT, at time of the guest's arrival, or when requested by the HOTEL KENT.
2. 2. Guests shall pay for the accommodation from the commencement of occupancy, even
when he voluntarily chooses not to use the facility.
Observance of rules
Article 11.
  Guests shall observe the rules established by the HOTEL KENT and posted within the HOTEL KENT.
Rejection of Continued Occupancy
Article 12.
  The HOTEL KENT may reject the continued occupancy of the room, even for the period accepted, in the following circumstances:
 
(1) When it comes under clauses 3 to 8 of article 4.
(2) When the guest does not observe the rules stated in previous article.
Responsibility of Accommodation
Article 13.
1. The responsibility of the HOTEL KENT concerning accommodation shall start from
the time the guest is registered at the front desk or when he enters his room,
whichever is the earlier, and terminates at the time he leaves his room to depart.
2. When the guest can no longer be accommodated due to reasons for which the HOTEL
KENT is responsible, the hotel shall arrange to secure accommodation of the same or
similar standard for the guest at facilities elsewhere, excepting cases of natural
calamities and other causes making its observance difficult. In such a case, there
shall be no charge to the guest for the accommodation at the HOTEL KENT for the day.



Stipulation on Cancellation Charge

1.Ordinary Guests
a. When cancelled on the day before occupancy:
20% of the first day room charge per person.
b. When cancelled on the day of occupancy:
  80% of the first day room charge per person.
2.Group Guests
a. When cancelled from 9 days to 2 days before occupancy:
  10% of the first day room charge per person.
b. When cancelled 1 day before occupancy:
  20% of the first day room charge per person.
c. When cancelled on the day of occupancy:
  80% of the first day room charge per person.
